Mark Halushka is a seasoned Human Resources leader and the Principal Consultant of MDH Consulting. With a career built on navigating complex workplace issues with professionalism and consistency, he is recognized for his practical, people-centered approach to HR. He excels at supporting executive leadership through the intricacies of workforce management while maintaining a steadfast focus on compliance and operational excellence.  

His technical expertise spans a wide range of critical HR functions, including employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance management. Mark has a proven track record of developing robust policies and streamlining onboarding processes within highly regulated, multi-site environments. Throughout his career, he has successfully partnered with organizations in the hospitality, retail, and nonprofit sectors, as well as the public sector and unionized workforces. 

Beyond his consulting work, Mark is deeply committed to the advancement of the HR profession and the development of future talent. He currently serves as the Board Chair for the PIHRA Long Beach Chapter and as an Advisory Board Member for the California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) College of Business Human Resource Management Program. In these leadership roles, he supports student engagement and fosters vital connections between academic programs and the professional HR community. 

Based in Long Beach, California, Mark finds balance by spending quality time with his two sons and granddaughter. He is an avid enthusiast of the outdoors and enjoys taking advantage of the diverse California landscape. Whether he is snowboarding in the mountains or bodyboarding at the local beaches, he remains dedicated to maintaining an active lifestyle with his family.
