Dr. Mary Jean Vignone has over 25 years of leadership experience in corporations and nonprofits, including diverse organizational development experience. As an expert Executive Coach, she has a proven ability to deliver coaching that improves both individual and organizational performance/culture. By leveraging proven strategies rooted in evidence-based practices, Mary Jean guides executives to maximize their potential and make significant strides toward success. Using thoughtfully crafted metaphors, she assists leaders in reframing obstacles, gaining fresh viewpoints, and transforming ideas into actionable steps. Her dedication lies in fostering sustainable growth and tangible results, elevating personal and professional achievements.
Before starting her consulting and coaching career, Mary Jean was a Senior Vice President in Organizational Development at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and MUFG Union Bank. Throughout her corporate career, she facilitated numerous mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructurings, and culture change initiatives.
She is an Associate Certified Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt designation. She is also certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DISC assessment, Emotional Intelligence (EQi 2.0), Management by Strengths (MBS), and Blanchard’s Leading People Through Change workshop.
As a lifelong learner, Mary Jean achieved her Master of Business (MBA), MA, and Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development, as well as her Evidence-Based Coaching certification. She is an adjunct faculty member in Fielding Graduate University’s Organization Development and Leadership Master of Arts program and an Institute of Social Innovation Fellow. In addition, she has authored articles in academic journals.
Mary Jean dedicates her time and talent to serving on two nonprofit Boards of Directors. In her free time, she spends time with her family and friends, hiking, traveling, camping in an RV, or oil painting.
