Leah Marone (MSW, LCSW) is a mental wellness consultant with over 20 years of experience. She has facilitated over 20,000 individual sessions, writes for Psychology Today, and is an expert forum contributor for Newsweek.

Leah was a former anxiety-ridden Division 1 basketball player which led to her passion for partnering with athletes and coaches on combating pressure, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and performance anxiety.

She has facilitated numerous workshops for companies, nonprofits, and schools on topics such as anxiety & stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, productivity, effective communication, and emotional intelligence. Currently, she partners with Equitable and facilitates a three-part wellness series for teachers and administrators that focuses primarily on boundary setting and resilience for the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System in North Carolina. 

Prior to working as a private practitioner, Leah was a school-based therapist in Indiana and a crisis intervention specialist for the juvenile justice system in Austin, Texas.  She has held clinical positions internationally and has had the privilege of being a keynote speaker at several conferences.

Outside of work, Leah enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, and writing. She also loves being a coach for her daughter’s club soccer team.
